Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and coordinate response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network assets
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS technologies
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, proxies, VPNs)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- BS/MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
