Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, procedures)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Certified in Security+, CISSP, or CEH (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent written/verbal communication and report-writing abilities
- Active DoD clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
