Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Linux and Windows).
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, operating systems, and network applications.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect company data.
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity procedures.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential issues before they impact users.
- Collaborate with developers and network engineers to deploy infrastructure updates and patches.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy management.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Excellent understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model) and routing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a Security+ or similar certification.
