Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts through SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct daily security scans and vulnerability assessments to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with internal and external security policies.
- Document incident reports, forensic analysis, and security procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher (CISSP, CEH preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in network security or SOC operations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with Linux/Windows environments and command-line interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
