Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux).
- Configure and maintain network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection.
- Implement and monitor virtualization technologies using VMware or Hyper-V.
- Execute system patching, updates, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with federal standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator in a high-security or government contracting environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or RHCE preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
