Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk, QRadar, and AlienVault SIEM platforms
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and generate detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Burp Suite tools
- Develop and execute penetration testing on network infrastructure and applications
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and implement best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and contribute to security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and scripting (Python, PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
