Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in network architecture.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of servers, databases, and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises to prepare for potential cyber threats.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to proactively enhance our security posture.
- Prepare and present regular security reports to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC (required).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and investigation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
