Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and incident response coordination for enterprise environments
- Develop and implement security playbooks for ransomware, APTs, and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Generate executive-level security reports and remediation roadmaps
- Lead security awareness training sessions for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to correlate complex data points
- Valid Oregon driver's license (client site visits required)
