Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, networks, and applications for suspicious activity using SIEM tools
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends to enhance defenses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
