We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to lead our IT infrastructure operations in Sacramento. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Juniper).
- Implement and enforce robust security protocols, including SIEM monitoring, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Lead cloud migration projects to AWS or Azure, optimizing cost and performance.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline IT operations.
- Ensure business continuity through rigorous disaster recovery planning and regular backup verification.
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or network engineering.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Identity Management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified SysAdmin are highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
