Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and document findings
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001 standards
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and IAM
- Strong understanding of attack vectors and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent analytical skills and written communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
