Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate response protocols
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST)
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
