Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex server environments including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Design, implement, and monitor network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Configure and manage cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) for seamless integration with on-premise systems.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, including firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing to protect critical business data.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python or Bash) to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP services.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders.
