Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the daily operations of on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Linux and Windows Server).
- Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to ensure data integrity.
- Design and automate complex IT workflows using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize CI/CD pipelines and containerization strategies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Perform regular system audits, patch management, and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular backup and restoration procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong proficiency in managing Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Expert knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
