Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) feeds using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar to identify and neutralize sophisticated cyber threats in real-time.
- Network Security: Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to enforce secure network architectures.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct rigorous vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses before malicious actors exploit them.
- Incident Management: Lead post-incident reviews and develop playbooks to enhance organizational resilience against ransomware and phishing attacks.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Cyber Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation; deep understanding of Linux and Windows environments.
- Tools: Strong hands-on experience with SIEM (Splunk, LogRhythm), EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and Nmap.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
