Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's servers, network infrastructure, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and enforce robust security protocols and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and perform system upgrades.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the development and security teams to ensure seamless deployment and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular system backups and audits to maintain high availability (99.9% uptime).
- Provide Level 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
