Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the daily operations of on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Linux and Windows Server).
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Automate routine tasks and scripts using Python or Bash to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and provide technical support for software and hardware issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime and optimal performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in managing Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or RHCE are highly preferred.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
