Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Windows Server, Linux) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Cloud Integration: Leverage AWS or Azure to optimize storage, compute, and networking resources for scalability and cost-efficiency.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust cybersecurity protocols, manage firewalls, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Automated Deployment: Develop and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks, streamline deployments, and improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues across the organization with minimal downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and change logs.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior administrators and collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in System Administration or IT Infrastructure Engineering.
- Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience working with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.
- Scripting: Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
