Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex cloud/on-premise infrastructure including AWS, Azure, and VMware environments
- Lead enterprise-wide system upgrades, migrations, and security hardening initiatives
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Splunk to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Develop automation solutions using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Manage disaster recovery planning and execute incident response protocols
- Document infrastructure configurations and create SOPs for operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of enterprise system administration experience with Linux/Windows environments
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi/KVM) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid infrastructure management
- Proven track record of managing enterprise networks and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
