Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure including Linux/Windows servers, virtualization (VMware/KVM), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, resolving critical incidents within SLA
- Execute patch management, backups, and disaster recovery procedures while maintaining compliance with SOC2 standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate workflows using Ansible/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Lead security initiatives including vulnerability scanning, firewall management, and access control implementation
- Document infrastructure architecture and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software procurement and support contracts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise system administration with Linux and Windows Server environments
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell) for automation and configuration management
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification with network fundamentals knowledge
- Proven experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ITIL incident/problem management
- Ability to lead infrastructure projects and mentor junior administrators
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
