Job Description
We are seeking a High-Level System Administrator to join our elite IT team in Houston, TX. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a technically proficient professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will act as the primary point of contact for critical system issues and drive technical improvements across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Windows Server and Linux/RHEL).
- Implement and monitor robust security protocols to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Perform regular system patching, updates, and hardware maintenance.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network outages and application failures.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and conduct regular backups.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a System Administrator.
- Deep expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and scripting.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certifications are highly preferred.
