Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain servers, both physical and virtual, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect data and prevent cyber threats.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications and databases efficiently.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to internal employees and resolve complex IT issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator in a Windows and Linux environment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid IT certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or AWS Certified SysAdmin.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
