Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments across on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Implement and automate security protocols using Active Directory, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Oversee backup/recovery systems with 99.9% SLA compliance
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues using Wireshark and SolarWinds
- Coordinate hardware/software deployments and migrations
- Document system configurations and create operational runbooks
- Monitor system performance using Nagios and ELK Stack
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server 2016+ and RHEL/CentOS systems
- Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) preferred
- Proven ability to work in HIPAA/GDPR-compliant environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network fundamentals mastery
