Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments (AWS, Azure, on-prem)
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
- Lead security hardening and compliance initiatives (SOX, GDPR)
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline automation
- Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues
- Document system architectures and SOPs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of system administration experience
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) required
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- ITIL foundation certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance
