Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premise and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Proactively monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Zabbix to prevent downtime
- Execute patch management, security hardening, and compliance auditing protocols
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular DR testing procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines using Ansible/Terraform
- Document system architecture, SOPs, and technical troubleshooting guides
- Mentor junior administrators and provide tier-3 escalation support
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows Server
- Expert-level proficiency in virtualization (VMware ESXi/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell) for automation
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or equivalent
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices
- Ability to manage high-pressure incidents with SLA-driven response times
- Excellent written communication for technical documentation and stakeholder reporting
