Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premise servers and cloud-based systems (AWS/Azure).
- Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, PowerShell) to streamline IT operations and reduce manual errors.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- System Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system anomalies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and asset inventories.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator in a Windows and Linux environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
