Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments across 200+ endpoints
- Oversee Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations for seamless network operations
- Proactively monitor system performance using SolarWinds and remediate critical alerts within SLAs
- Execute disaster recovery testing and backup procedures for VMware virtualization clusters
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team to implement NIST compliance frameworks
- Document SOPs and create knowledge base articles for team scalability
- Manage cloud hybrid environments including AWS and Azure services
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and RHEL/CentOS
- Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise networking
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash scripting, and automation tools like Ansible
- Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and network security principles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts and travel between Virginia Beach and Norfolk sites
