We're seeking a dynamic Senior System Administrator to join our growing IT team in Long Beach. You'll be the backbone of our infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for 500+ employees across hybrid environments. Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server and Linux environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructure
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
- Oversee network architecture including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory
- Provide Tier-3 support for critical systems and lead disaster recovery initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document procedures and create knowledge base articles
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and RHEL/CentOS
- AWS/Azure certification with hands-on cloud deployment experience
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
