Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) environments
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Oversee cloud infrastructure deployments on AWS with emphasis on cost optimization
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restores
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex system outages and performance tuning
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain comprehensive runbooks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Strong familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS models
- Proven scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities with network fundamentals
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
