Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and proactively prevent downtime
- Enforce cybersecurity best practices including patch management and access controls
- Automate workflows using PowerShell/Python and configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Document infrastructure, SOPs, and runbooks for operational excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and vendor management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python/Bash) and automation experience
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ITSM systems
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance windows
