Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) for suspicious activities and conduct real-time threat analysis using SIEM tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to secure network boundaries.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with security tools like Splunk, FireEye, Snort, or Palo Alto Networks.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
