Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and data restoration procedures
- Automate deployment and configuration using Ansible/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure as code initiatives
- Document system configurations and create operational runbooks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with enterprise-level infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and LDAP
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, RHCSA) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance windows
