Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds
- Manage backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with security team to implement CIS benchmarks and compliance frameworks
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain configuration management databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi) and containerization (Docker)
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and TCP/IP
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or MCSA preferred)
- Experience with IaaS/PaaS migration projects
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
