Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols including Active Directory, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Perform proactive system monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning for 24/7 business operations
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular backup/restore procedures for critical systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines using Ansible/Terraform
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and mentor junior administrators
- Document system architecture, SOPs, and compliance reports for NIST/FISMA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration in enterprise environments
- Expert-level certifications: MCSE: Server Infrastructure or CompTIA Server+
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Deep knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures (AWS/Azure) and networking fundamentals
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex system failures
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain required government clearance
