Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure, including Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Implement and monitor system security protocols to protect organizational data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies, conducting regular drills to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and Network Engineering to support application deployment and integration.
- Document system architecture and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain knowledge continuity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting.
- Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure is highly preferred.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
