Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) environments
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies across multi-site infrastructure
- Oversee VMWare ESXi virtualization clusters and Hyper-V deployments
- Implement and monitor security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and compliance auditing
- Collaborate with network and security teams on infrastructure optimization projects
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration
- VMware VCP or equivalent virtualization certification required
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise storage systems
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid architectures
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotation
