Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments across 500+ endpoints
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid systems
- Oversee network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection
- Perform proactive system monitoring, patching, and capacity planning
- Lead disaster recovery initiatives and business continuity planning
- Document IT procedures and provide technical mentorship to junior staff
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on automation and CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ITIL practices
