Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments including virtualization (VMware/KVM) and container orchestration (Docker)
- Monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Zabbix, proactively resolving performance bottlenecks
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, optimizing costs and security posture
- Develop automation scripts using Python/Ansible for provisioning and configuration management
- Implement robust backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with security teams to harden systems and maintain compliance with NIST standards
- Provide tier-3 support and mentor junior administrators
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise-level system administration experience
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Security awareness and compliance knowledge (SOC2, HIPAA)
