Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Manage network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and VPN solutions
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds
- Execute security protocols including vulnerability assessments and patch management
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system issues and user escalations
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Python scripting
- Document IT processes and maintain system documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- VMware certification (VCP or higher) preferred
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash)
- Experience with cloud migration projects
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
