Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file systems
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Oversee cloud infrastructure deployments and management on AWS/Azure platforms
- Design and execute disaster recovery plans with 99.9% uptime SLA requirements
- Automate routine tasks using Python/PowerShell scripts for operational efficiency
- Monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and SolarWinds
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document IT infrastructure changes and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert-level proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Linux distributions (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, load balancing)
- Certifications in AWS/Azure or CompTIA Server+ highly preferred
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
- Proven track record in implementing security best practices (NIST, CIS benchmarks)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure
