Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMWare, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement robust security protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Manage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and VPN configurations
- Provide Level 3 technical support and troubleshoot complex system issues
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery/business continuity plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system upgrades
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with Windows Server and Linux
- Strong expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- Experience with network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
