Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize network infrastructure
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on automation using Ansible/Terraform
- Document procedures, create runbooks, and provide technical guidance to junior staff
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash) and automation tools
- CCNA/CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certifications required
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation environment
