Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, proactively addressing issues
- Design disaster recovery solutions and perform regular backups/restores
- Automate routine tasks through scripting (Python/PowerShell)
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document procedures and provide technical training to junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
