Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, including firewalls, access controls, and vulnerability management
- Oversee network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory administration
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell/Python) for system monitoring, patching, and deployment
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restoration procedures
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior team members
- Document system configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud service models
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash)
- Proven experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds)
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
