Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, resolving issues proactively
- Automate deployment and configuration processes using Ansible/Terraform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines
- Document system architecture and provide technical guidance to junior staff
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols
- Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in complex hybrid environments
- Experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours during system maintenance windows
