Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable IT infrastructure including cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualized environments
- Proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement security best practices
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across Windows/Linux environments
- Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using scripting tools (Python/PowerShell)
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
- Document systems architecture, processes, and runbooks for operational excellence
- Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity exercises
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise system administration
- Expertise in Windows Server and Linux distributions (Ubuntu/CentOS)
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Certifications in AWS/Azure or CompTIA Server+ preferred
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or Chef)
- Experience with monitoring systems (Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
