Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Implement and monitor robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
- Oversee cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure including VPC configuration and S3 management
- Provide Tier 3 support and lead incident response for critical system outages
- Document network topology, system configurations, and disaster recovery procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expert-level certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Proven experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Strong scripting skills for automation and monitoring solutions
- Experience with backup solutions like Veeam or Commvault
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
