Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor robust cybersecurity measures including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Proactively troubleshoot system outages, network issues, and security incidents
- Automate deployment processes using scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
- Oversee data backup/recovery strategies and disaster planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives
- Document system configurations, procedures, and maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration with Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and active directory
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools
- Proven experience implementing security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose complex technical issues
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
