Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments across hybrid cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Splunk, optimizing performance and security
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restoration procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines using Ansible/Terraform
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN services for 500+ employees
- Document system architecture and create comprehensive technical documentation
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior IT staff during complex incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server 2019+ and RHEL/CentOS environments
- Expertise in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls) and Cisco/Juniper devices
- Certification in AWS/Azure or CompTIA Server+ preferred
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere) and container orchestration
- Strong problem-solving skills with proven incident management experience
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
