Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain security protocols including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and compliance frameworks (FISMA/NIST)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize infrastructure scalability
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning for federal clients
- Lead system migration projects and automation initiatives using PowerShell/Ansible
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in system administration with federal government sector experience preferred
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise networking
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and CI/CD pipeline knowledge
- Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, or CISA) highly valued
- Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
